One in Three Lottery Winners Keep Job

We all dream of winning the National Lottery and taking life a little bit easier, we’ll retire and travel the world, we’ll buy new cars and chase our dreams. Yet interestingly one in three lottery winners keep their job. It’s an interesting statistic and quite surprising you may think but it seems that no matter how much money we have for many of us working is a way of life and gives us a sense of purpose even if we don't actually need to work.
This has never been more true than in the story of four lucky hairdressers opened their own salon after winning £2.9 million on the UK National Lottery, the girls were in a workplace syndicate and each scooped £418,000 for their share and vowed to keep on working. The salon owner however had different ideas and with her share decided to quit work and laid all the staff off.

Unperturbed, one of the girls, Natalie McDonald decided to stay true to her world and purchased an empty shop close to their old premises and within just three months had renovated the property and had it up and ready for business.
Now the 26 year old and the other three of her ex-collegues are working at the newly opened salon for the same salary that they received in their previous positions. The Salon, Bliss, looks to be a roaring success and all the girls are happy.
Natalie said she loved working at the salon and they were all very disappointed at being made redundant after their National Lottery win and although it was a nerve racking experience, opening her own salon has been a great learning curve and the best thing she ever did.
The girls all earn more than £30,000 in interest from their syndicate winning but all four girls insist that they love their jobs and will continue working for the foreseeable future.
And clearly with one in three lottery winners keeping their jobs they are not the only ones who find pleasure in their work.
