No Change for Euromillions Couple

Most people dream of winning the lottery for all the changes it would mean in their lives, but there’s no change for one Euromillions couple as the thrifty couple remain in their council house after their £10 million Euromillions win. They swore the win would not change them and have kept to their word!
Michael and Jean O’Shea vowed the win would not change them and they have stayed true to their world. The couple bought their council house for a meagre £5,000 back in 1997 but since their Euromillions jackpot win in 2005 have still remained at the property.

The retired couple also claim to still shop at Asda looking for bargains along the way and still enjoy the regular Friday takeaway meal they have been enjoying for years.
They have even kept the same car although admittedly replacing it with the newer model of the same car, a Vauxhall Zafira.
They have however splashed out on a few holidays, visiting Australia, Alaska and Canada recently and astoundingly they still play the National Lottery and Euromillions every week.
The couple from Sneinton, Nottingham spoke at the time of their win about how they wouldn’t be changed by the money and family and friends have vouched for how they have kept that claim. Catching the bus into town, walking around the local park and shopping for bargains at Asda keeps them grounded and has meant that they still kept the same friends and life has remained the same for both of them.
It’s an interesting story and put pay to all the stories about what we would do if we won a million as it just goes to show that a million or not, some people are just happy as they are.
