New Zealand Powerball Jackpot at its Highest for 2012

New Zealand PowerballOn Saturday night the New Zealand Powerball had a top prize of NZD $10 million available to win, however no players managed to match the six plus Powerball combination drawn, which meant that the top prize rolled over for the 7th time in a row. This means now the New Zealand Powerball jackpot is estimated at NZD $ 12.5 million for this Saturday’s draw – it’s highest for 2012. There hasn’t been a top prize winner in this lottery for this year yet, however will that change in the next Powerball draw?

The last time the New Zealand Powerball jackpot was won was on the 31st December 2012 when one winning ticket scooped the jackpot that was worth NZD $5 million. However, the last time the Powerball top prize surpassed the NZD $10 million mark was over three months ago. On the 5th November 2011, there was a Powerball jackpot of over NZD $15 million available to win, and in this draw one winning ticket, which was bought by a family from Waikanae, won this impressive New Zealand Powerball top prize.

This very lucky family purchased their ticket for this draw at the Waikanae Beach Four Square shop. They matched the New Zealand Powerball results from this draw which were 2, 5, 21, 31, 35, 38 and the Powerball was 6 to win the jackpot. This top prize was made up of NZD $15,114,500 from the Powerball first division and also $500,000 from the New Zealand Lotto first division.

We shall have to wait and see whether any ticket holders for the New Zealand Powerball can match the numbers drawn on Saturday night to win this impressive top prize on offer and become the first New Zealand Powerball top prize winners of 2012.
