New Year new owners for National Lottery?

UK National Lottery With Royal Mail still plagued by staffing problems and Britain said to be the only European country still in recession is it to be a case of New Year new owners for the National Lottery? Royal Mail own a massive 20% share in Camelot along with four other well known UK and global brands. Who could have missed talk of a hostile takeover of Cadbury by a foreign buyer this week and did you also know that Cadbury are one of the companies with another 20% in the company who run the UK National Lottery.

It’s certain that the New Year is to bring big changes for Camelot, the five shareholders in the UK National Lottery have all, individually shown interest in selling the lottery company but who to? Rumours have been rife with Richard Branson and the Virgin brand being thrown into the pot often but would Virgin buy one share? Not according to the rumour mill who claim that Mr Branson may be after several shares if he can acquire them, giving them a deciding vote in the future of Camelot.

Who knows what the five shareholders are to do but we at World Lottery suspect that shares in the successful lottery company will certainly be up for sale in the New Year.
