A quick browse of the UK National Lottery website shows us that the New Year brings unclaimed lottery prizes. While players were clambering for one of the big rollover jackpots of the last couple of weeks, some may not even be aware that they are already big lottery winners. It’s time to dig out those old lottery tickets and check if you are holding one of last year’s unclaimed UK National Lottery or Euromillions Lottery prizes before they expire.
The first unclaimed lottery prize is about to run out, the race really is on as the winner has until 11th January only to make themselves known to the UK National Lottery. The ticket was sold in the Dumfries & Galloways area and the ticket is worth £69,191. The winning numbers for the draw, held on 15th July were 5, 8, 10, 29, 39, 41, Bonus ball 15. The next unclaimed prize is for a much larger amount of the winner in this case also needs to hurry. This unclaimed Euromillions Lottery prize expires on 20th January and is worth a life-changing £286,508.50. The numbers in the draw held on 24th July were 14, 15, 25, 35, 47. Lucky stars 5 and 9. This winning ticket was sold in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in the East end of London so check those old lottery tickets and see if it could be you.
The final lottery ticket to expire this January was a UK National Lottery ticket sold in the Plymouth area of England. This ticket matched five and the bonus ball in the 1st August lottery draw in which the numbers were 2, 6, 27, 28, 40, 49. Bonus ball 14. This ticket worth £128,478 must be claimed before January 28th.
That’s just the unclaimed UK National Lottery prizes and unclaimed Euromillions Lottery prizes that are about to expire. Also unclaimed are many more prizes, the biggest of which is worth £3.7 million from the UK National Lottery draw held on December 2nd, no doubt that ticket is with some wrapping paper somewhere. Before that though there is another jackpot prize due to expire in March, that ticket is worth £3.6 million and was sold back in September in the County of Inverness.
There was never a better time to resolve to do something, dig out all those old lottery tickets and check for unclaimed prizes right now!
