South African national lottery operator Ithuba has decided to launch the raffle to add to the exciting range of games already on offer, such as Lotto and Powerball, and the plan is to hold at least four draws every year. The prizes will be announced in advance and there will be a minimum of 60 days to snap up tickets.
Everyone who enters will receive a unique, randomly-generated ticket number, and can then look forward to finding out on the day of the draw if they have won. The inaugural raffle this December will not only give away 15 stunning cars, but also over a thousand other cash prizes ranging from R1,000 to R100,000.
The raffle promises to make it a very special festive season for lots of South African lottery fans, but there are also some great prizes up for grabs in South African Lotto and Powerball this weekend. Saturday night’s Lotto jackpot is up to R28 million, while tonight there is R48 million to play for in Powerball and even R25 million in Powerball Plus.
