Canada to Launch New lottery

The Canada Lotto 6/49 – run by the OLG – is one of the most popular lottery draws on our world lottery pages. Today we bring you exclusive news of a brand new lottery run by the OLG, it’s the Lotto Max Canada and it’s already getting us, and Canadians very excited.

We hope to bring you a review of the draw and play details for the Lotto Max Canada very soon. Unlike the Canada Lotto 6/49, this new draw will be held on Friday evenings and the next draw will be next Friday, September 25th.

The Lotto Max Canada will start with a base jackpot of $10 million and has a jackpot that can grow to a maximum of $50 million.

Lottery players who play the new Lotto Max Canada will receive three lines of seven numbers for a $5 play. To win players will need to match seven out of seven numbers and the numbers, like the Canada Lotto 6/49 will run from 1 to 49.

Officials from the OLG, who run the Canada Lotto 6/49 and the new Lotto Max say that the odds of winning the lottery are one in 28.6 million per play. Odds of winning any prize in the lottery are one in 6.6, not bad I’m sure you’ll agree.
If not won the Lotto Max jackpot will roll over to the next draw date and if rollovers continue then a Maxmillions jackpot will be created if the pot goes over $50 million. Maxmillion prizes will be worth $1 million each and this draw will have its own draw and set of winning numbers.
