National Lottery winners want a new caravan

Imagine winning £3.9 million on the National Lottery and then turn your mind to the things you would buy and how you would spend it. I think the first thing I would do is buy a larger house and a flash car, then it would be the dream holiday and that’s just the start of how quickly I could spend it. For one lucky couple who pocketed a win of £3.9 million all they want is a new caravan, how humbling is that?
A couple from Eye in Suffolk rolled in 6 numbers on the National Lottery draw on 17th May and will receive £10,000 a month in interest alone on the big win. Stan and Pat Cable don’t plan on buying a new home but will be continuing to live in their modest two bedroomed council house.
Mrs Cable, 59 has already been reprimanded by her husband for spending £100 on a handbag! Stan Cable, 62, felt that £100 for a handbag was an extortionate price to pay. He did however go on to say that it isn’t easy to change overnight and that having to count his pennies over many years is something he is used to doing.
37 years of marriage only ever saw two new sofas and they do plan on treating themselves to a new three piece suite however.
The couple having been buying National Lottery tickets since the day it launched some 14 years ago and their winning ticket was bought at a Woolworth’s store in Stowmarket, Suffolk.
