National Lottery Meltdown

Yesterday saw a National Lottery meltdown as a problem with lottery terminals throughout the day prevented people purchasing tickets across the country. First thought to be a localised problem it seems the whole of the UK was unable to purchase tickets for last nights National Lottery draw. It was an absolute catasrophe for Camelot and lottery players as almost £1 million was knocked off the lottery jackpot.
The estimated jackpot for last nights’ draw was £4.2 million, however due to lost ticket sales caused by the terminal error the single winner received £3.4 million.

Many players were left disappointed after not being able to purchase their tickets for the draw and ended up just hoping that their numbers wouldn’t be drawn. Lots of kiosk vendors sent players home to play on the National Lottery website however that was so inundated with players attempting to purchase tickets that it also crashed until just gone 7pm last night.
It’s a good advertisement for purchasing lottery tickets in advance from the National Lottery website, you can buy tickets for up to eight weeks in advance and the National Lottery will even notify you if you are a lucky winner.
So if you want to ensure peace of mind when it comes to playing the UK National Lottery, why not click our links above and create a player account with the National Lottery, purchase your tickets well in advance and have the peace of mind of not having to worry about getting to a lottery terminal to purchase your National Lottery tickets.
The numbers for last nights’ draw (for those of you who did manage to get your tickets purchased) are 7, 10, 24, 39, 40, 42 with a bonus ball of 5. One lucky winner walked away with the jackpot although that amount was £800,000 less than expected.
