World Lottery With many of the state lotteries in the US taking on the Mega Millions draw it is no shock that the MegaMatch is to end in December for the South Carolina Lottery. Officials have made the decision to end the MegaMatch draw on 29th December ready for the introduction of the Mega Millions in late January. With many of the world lottery commissions taking on new games for their players we have already seen many states introducing both Mega Millions and/or Powerball.

Previously state lotteries in the US could only offer either / or Mega Millions and Powerball but a recent change has seen the ability to offer both be granted.

MegaMatch from the South Carolina Lottery has been running for two years and players had to match six numbers. This lottery draw had sold more than $24 million in lottery tickets since its inception and has given away over $16 million in prize money.

The last draw for the MegaMatch will take place on December 29th and winners will have 180 days to collect any winnings that have been made from the Mega Match draws.

Over the last few years we have seen many changes around in world lottery draws and we are sure to see many more with states across the USA introducing the Mega Millions or Powerball draws to their lottery offerings.

Tickets for the Mega Millions draw should be available for purchase in January 2010 with the first draw the South Carolina will be part of taking place in February 2010.
