No tickets matched all six numbers in Friday nights’ Mega Millions draw so it’s a Mega Millions rollover for Tuesdays draw with an estimated jackpot of $16 million. Fridays draw was worth $12 million but no ticketholders matched all six numbers creating another rollover.
The winning numbers for Fridays Mega Millions draw were 5, 33, 34, 47 and 52, the Mega Ball number was 18 but with no tickets matching all the numbers the jackpot will rollover to the next draw on Tuesday.
Although no tickets matched all six numbers drawn in Fridays Mega Millions draw there were still some quite substantial winners. Five lucky players matched five numbers without the Mega Ball to win $250,000 each and another twenty-four lucky players won third prizes of $10,000 each by matching four main numbers and the Mega Ball.

Mega Millions prizes can be taken as one of two options, either winners can take a cash option, lump sum or choose to take their winnings as a 26 year annuity payment. Most players across America choose the cash option rather than take the annuity payments and for a $16 million win you would receive a one off payment of around $10 million.
The Mega Millions is the USA’s multistate lottery, draws for the Mega Millions are held twice weekly every Tuesday and Friday night at 11pm EST. To win the Mega Millions jackpot you must match all six main numbers drawn during the draw.
Even at $16 million the Mega Millions has a long way to go to beat some of the record wins the Mega Millions has seen in the past. March 2007 saw a world record lottery win of £390 million shared between two players and this is just one of the jackpots over $300 million the Mega Millions Lottery has seen.
