In American lottery news, the Mega Millions jackpot on Tuesday evening rolled over, as no one matched all the winning numbers and the Mega Ball in the draw. It means that Friday’s jackpot rolls up to a massive $35 million. However, maybe lottery players should be checking old lottery tickets a little better before buying new ones for the draw, as a Mega Millions prize expires this Saturday and it’s worth a massive $250,000!
The lottery ticket expires on Saturday 28th May, but it was sold back in 2010, for the May 28th drawing of the Mega Millions Lottery. Luckily it was sold in the state of Michigan, where Mega Millions players have a whole year to come forward, because as yet no one has claimed the prize and the clock really is now ticking.
The winning numbers in the Mega Millions draw in question were 3 – 11 – 20 – 29 39, the Mega Ball was 26. The ticketholder of this winning lottery ticket matched all five main balls in the Mega Millions Lottery draw, but did not predict the Mega Ball. It means the lottery ticket is worth a staggering $250,000.
This lottery ticket was sold in Madison Beverage in Madison Heights in Michigan, so if you buy lottery tickets here and the winning numbers above trigger your memory it’s time to get on a hunt for lost lottery tickets. You may be holding onto a lottery ticket worth a quarter of a million dollars and not even be aware!
