Mega Millions jackpot winner yet to claim

Yesterday, US news stations released the lottery news that the Mega Millions jackpot winner is yet to claim. On Friday, one lottery ticket scooped the $72 million jackpot, and it was sold in the Staten Island area of New York. However, no one has yet come forward to claim the prize, and so lottery officials are putting out an appeal for the winner. If you bought lottery tickets for the April 18th draw of the Mega Millions Lottery then you need to check the winning numbers now!
Friday’s winning Mega Millions Lottery numbers were 22 – 23 – 33 – 39 – 48, the Mega Ball was 29. Just one player matched all the winning numbers, but we don’t yet know who that winner is!
Should the single lottery winner take this Mega Millions jackpot as a lump sum payment, then they can expect to be walking away with a payment of about $44 million. That’s before Uncle Sam takes his share of course, a move that will slice the jackpot to around $28 million. It’s still a sizeable jackpot, and that’s why New York lottery players are currently being urged to carefully check their lottery tickets.
In other US lottery news, tonight’s Powerball Lottery jackpot is up to $56 million after no winner at the weekend. If you do buy lottery tickets, keep them safe and don’t forget to sign the back, and more importantly, do check the winning numbers or you might miss out on a life-changing prize.
