Mega Millions is launching in Iowa

Details are still to be finalised but the news today is that Mega Millions is launching in Iowa after the Iowa Lottery approved the game. The vote took place yesterday following talks between the US Lottery directors and state lottery commissions to work towards cross-selling both the Powerball and Mega Millions games in 2010. The Powerball game is currently sold in 30 states but at the moment Mega Millions is only available in just 12 states.
Tickets are due to go on sale on 31st January 2010 not the Mega Millions is launching in Iowa but the CEO of the Iowa Lottery has said that “many details need to be finalised”. The first Mega Millions draw that will include Iowa should take place on 2nd February 2010.
The Iowa Lottery currently boasts a number of games including Powerball, Hot Lotto and the $100,000 cash game.
