May the Fourth be with the Mega Millions

It may be the day known as the more childish among us as Star Wars Day but May the fourth be with the Mega Millions tomorrow as an estimated $266 million jackpot goes up for grabs. Due to numerous rollovers, the jackpot is now growing at an astronomical rate and has now hit $266 million. Will it be won tomorrow evening or will it be heading for a record at the weekend. It’s certainly the biggest jackpot available anywhere in the world right now and no doubt will get players out in their thousands to try and win this life-changing lottery prize.
The Mega Millions Lottery jackpot has not been won since an Illinois couple claimed $20 million back on March 13th. After that draw it was reset to $20 million and has been steadily growing ever since. Before long the Mega Millions Lottery jackpot was over $100 million and as ticket-sales grew, so did the jackpot, even faster than before.
With the blink of an eye it has now reached this massive amount, but with so many US states and world lottery players now able to buy lottery tickets for the draw, it’s little wonder it grows so fast.
Will it be a Star Wars, intergalactic style win on May 4th? Maybe a single ticketholder will scoop the lot or maybe it will be heading for $300 million at the weekend. We’ll have to wait and see but this is one draw that we’ll be keeping an eye on over the next few days.
