Maxmillions Canada

We’ve all now heard that the Super 7 Lottery has come to an end, to be replaced with the brand new Lotto Max. Well that change took place last Friday with the first Lotto Max draw taking place in Canada. Many news sites have covered the new lottery but we are yet to see how certain aspects of it work. Take the Maxmillions Canada draw for example, we’ve been told that there will be an upper limit of $50 million and then a Maxmillions draw but how will this work?
What we do know is that the new Lotto Max Canada will have a base jackpot of $10 million. That means that if you are one of the lucky jackpot winners, the least you will ever win is $10 million. As it happens the first draw got off to an astounding start and with all the excitement hit a giddy $21 million, however unlike many world lottery draws the new Lotto Max Canada has an upper limit of $50 million.
This means that the ceiling on the jackpot is $50 million but once it rolls over to this amount what happens to the money? Well the news is that there will then be a Maxmillions draw but there is some confusion how this will work.
It seems that it’s going to take a Maxmillions Canada draw to see exactly how it is going to work but the news from the Ontario Gaming Corporation is that once the jackpot reaches $50 million there will be another second draw. This draw will be called Maxmillions and from what we can see, this draw will create fifty $1 million lottery winners.
How exactly this is likely to work, we’re still not sure but one thing you can be sure of is that we’ll be watching closely and bringing you details of the Maxmillions as it happens.
