Lottery ticket in the rubbish

A lottery winner from the north of England is thanking his lucky stars after he recovered his winning lottery ticket from bin bags just moments before they were due to be collected by the dustmen.  The man frantically tore bin bags open in a desperate effort to recover his winning National Lottery ticket from the rubbish.

The £4.9 million UK National Lottery winner was overcome with despair when he discovered that his stepfather had binned his winning National Lottery ticket after wrongly identifying it as a losing ticket.  The fortunate lottery winner, who is a divorced dad and scaffolder by trade, realised he had won the lottery after seeing a lottery news story in his local newspaper about an unclaimed £4.9million National Lottery jackpot.

After realising that he was the missing lottery winner in question he telephoned his stepfather, who was on holiday at the time.  When his stepfather informed him that the ticket had been discarded after being wrongly checked the frantic man raced to his stepfather's home and ripped off the bin lid, before tearing open all of the bags inside.  The man searched and search but there was no sign of the missing lottery ticket.  As a feeling of dread set in and as the bottom of the bin came ever closer but all was no lost.  At the very bottom of the bin there was a cereal packet and as he retrieved the packet from the bin, what should fall out?  A £4.9 million winning National Lottery ticket, that’s what.

The new multi-millionaire has requested that his identity remain anonymous but reports say that he has replaced his old banger with a three year old car and that he has also taken his son a holiday.
