Lottery Results for Saturday 2nd May, 2015

The first Saturday night of the month presented lottery enthusiasts with a very nice range of opportunities to win big money. As is often the case, the Powerball game in the USA boasted the largest jackpot, with an advertised top prize of $70 million. In Europe, players were pursuing an Irish Lotto jackpot worth an estimated €5 million, a SuperEnalotto jackpot worth €9.8 million and a brand new jackpot in the UK Lotto game. The lottery results for Saturday 2nd May, 2015, were as follows…

Lottery Results for Saturday 2nd May, 2015

UK Lotto

07 – 10 – 11 – 30 – 31 – 42 Bonus Ball: 36

The UK Lotto game on Saturday had an advertised jackpot of around £4 million, but it didn’t quite reach that estimate, at just over £2.9 million. The lower jackpot figure was almost certainly due to the fact that five of the six main numbers fell into the popular ‘days of the month’ range, but two players still managed to win themselves £1,450,289 each by matching all six main numbers. Five tickets matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number to win £46,304 each, and over 357,000 entries won smaller prizes. The next game on Wednesday 6th May will offer a new jackpot of around £2.2 million and will also create one guaranteed millionaire. In addition, the Lotto Raffle game will create 50 guaranteed winners of £20,000 each.

Irish Lottery

01 – 07 – 18 – 28 – 30 – 36 Bonus Ball: 06

Multiple rollovers have helped the Irish Lotto jackpot to climb to ever-increasing heights over the last few draws, and there was another rollover last night because no player could match all six main numbers. No player could match five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number either, but 38 tickets won €1,747 each by matching five main numbers only and more than 42,000 tickets won lesser sums at the lower levels. The next game on Wednesday will now offer a jackpot worth €5.5 million.

SuperEnalotto

06 – 34 – 45 – 46 – 59 – 73 Jolly: 35 SuperStar: 56

A jackpot with an advertised value of €9.8 million was waiting any lottery player who could match the six main numbers needed to win it, but once again that task proved just a tad too difficult for anyone to achieve. There were no second tier prizes won either, but three tickets won €73,493 each at the third tier by matching five main numbers. Over 19,000 tickets won smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers, and more than 39,000 SuperStar entries also won prizes. The next game will now offer a jackpot worth around €10.1 million.

Powerball

02 – 06 – 11 – 30 – 31 Powerball: 33

The jackpot awaiting any Powerball player who could match all five white balls and the red Powerball in last night’s game was a mouth-watering $70 million, but no player succeeded in doing that. The good news is that two tickets matched five main numbers only to win $1 million each, and 19 entries won their owners $10,000 each by matching four main numbers as well as the Powerball. Over 332,000 tickets won smaller prizes, and more than 87,000 prizes were also won by Power Play entries. The next jackpot will be worth an advertised $80 million.

Australian Saturday Lotto

06 – 15 – 18 – 23 – 35 – 43 Supplementary Numbers: 16 and 44

The Australian Saturday Lotto game last night offered a jackpot worth AU$4,164,425, and we are pleased to report that three players matched the six main numbers required to share that prize, so the winners concerned are now AU$1,388,141 richer than they were beforehand. There were 45 tickets that matched five main numbers plus one of the supplementary numbers to land a Division 2 prize of AU$12,547 each, and more than 401,000 tickets won smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers. The next Australian Saturday Lotto game on Saturday 9th May will be a AU$21 million Superdraw.
