Lottery Results for Saturday 2nd August 2014

The biggest jackpot on offer last night was in the Powerball game, where lottery fans had $70 million to try and win. No player succeeded in that task, but jackpots were landed in the Australian Saturday Lotto and UK Lotto draws, and some massive consolation prizes were also won – most notably in the Powerball and SuperEnalotto games. Overall, the first weekend of the month got lottery players off to a fantastic start, as you will see as we present our round-up of the lottery results for Saturday 2nd August, 2014...

Lottery Results for Saturday 2nd August 2014

UK Lotto

13 – 23 – 28 – 37 – 42 – 45 Bonus Ball: 25

The UK Lotto jackpot had been won in the midweek game, so there was a brand new jackpot of £4,415,154 on offer to participants in the Saturday night draw. Three tickets matched all six main numbers, so each of the winners can now claim an equal share of the top prize, which equates to £1,471,718 each. Another five tickets won their owners £70,482 each by matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number, and more than 254,000 tickets won smaller prizes at the lower levels. There were also 50 winners of £20,000 each in the Lotto Raffle game, and you can view the winning numbers by visiting the Results page at Lottery.co.uk.

Irish Lottery

11 – 24 – 26 – 36 – 38 – 45 Bonus Ball: 37

Irish Lottery players were just six main numbers away from winning a jackpot worth €5.47 million last night, but nobody achieved that feat and so they will be able to pursue a jackpot of around €6 million in the next game. There were no second tier prize winners, but 36 tickets matched five main numbers only to win a third tier prize of €1,922 each. Over 34,000 prizes were won at the lower levels by tickets matching fewer numbers, and you can view the complete prize schedule for last night’s game by visiting the Results page at IrishLottery.com.

Health Lottery

13 – 31 – 33 – 35 – 46 Bonus Ball: 20

For the third Saturday in a row, the Health Lottery game in the UK gave one player a top prize of £100,000 for matching all five of the main numbers that were drawn. Whilst players will have to wait and see if the lucky run can continue for a fourth week, the owners of more than 12,000 tickets can celebrate winning consolation prizes of up to £10,000 each.

SuperEnalotto

29 – 38 – 54 – 58 – 72 – 86 Jolly: 81 SuperStar: 65

The jackpot in the Saturday night SuperEnalotto game this week was worth an advertised €19.1 million, but none of the tickets entered for the draw were able to match all of the numbers required to win it. Nine tickets matched five main numbers only to win €28,223 each, and over 27,000 other entries won smaller prizes by matching four or three numbers. The biggest prize landed in the game last night was worth €705,589, and that was won by a SuperStar entry matching five main numbers plus the SuperStar itself. More than 42,000 other Superstar entries also won prizes, and the next SuperEnalotto game on Tuesday will offer a jackpot worth around €19.6 million.

Powerball

12 – 26 – 44 – 46 – 47 Powerball: 29

As we said at the top of this news item, Powerball players had a chance to win a jackpot worth $70 million last night, but unfortunately none of the tickets purchased for the game were able to match all five main numbers plus the Powerball, so the jackpot rolled over for the fourth draw in a row. The good news is that more than 427,000 consolation prizes were landed, including more than 80,000 by successful Power Play entries. The biggest winners were the four tickets that matched all five main numbers to win their owners $1 million each, and another 17 tickets won $10,000 each by matching four main numbers as well as the Powerball. The jackpot in the next Powerball game will be worth an estimated $80 million.

Australian Saturday Lotto

07 – 10 – 12 – 26 – 30 – 36 Supplementary Numbers: 15 and 32

Two of the main numbers drawn in the Australian Saturday Lotto game last night had also appeared in the draw exactly one week earlier, which is something that stats fans will have been keen to note. The jackpot had a final value of AUD$4,400,109, and there were 11 tickets that match all six main numbers, so each of the winning players can now claim an equal share worth AUD$400,009. There were 92 tickets that matched five main numbers as well as one of the supplementary numbers to win a Division 2 prize worth AUD$6,489 each, and more than 497,000 tickets won smaller prizes. The next Australian Saturday Lotto game will offer a larger than usual jackpot with an advertised value of AUD$21 million.
