Lottery Players see Luck in Flight 1549

The crew and passengers of US airways flight 1549 got very lucky this Thursday as the plane came down in the Hudson river after suffering an apparent bird strike, it just goes to show that flying can be a lottery but in more ways than one. That’s because lottery players saw luck in flight 1549 as a huge number of them used them as their lucky numbers in lottery draws.
Officials at the Georgia Lottery Corporation actually sold out of those numbers for the Cash 4 draw and there is evidence that the numbers were also chosen across many of the US draws.
All 155 passengers on the airbus survived after the dramatic rescue and players clearly felt the flight number was a lucky number as they rushed to use them in draws in many American Lotteries. The US has many state lotteries playing plus the two main multistate lottery draws in the Powerball and Mega Millions.
Players using these numbers in last nights’ Mega Millions Lottery draw may have been somewhat disappointed as only one of the four ‘lucky’ numbers actually came out in the draw. The winning numbers in last nights’ Mega Millions draw are 2, 4, 21, 39, 51 and the Mega Ball is 29. No players matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball and the jackpot will now rollover to Tuesdays Mega Millions Lottery draw. Three lucky players did match five numbers without the Mega Ball and each of those will walk away with a very handsome $250,000.
