We regularly bring you stories of lottery scams, they are becoming well documented and many people are becoming very cautious of emails. If you needed any further proof of that mistrust then look no further than Martyn White who found an email message claiming he had won £10 million from the National Lottery, he dismissed the email as a hoax but this Lottery jackpot is no scam, something the couple didn’t find out until they had returned from their holiday.
Martyn White and his wife were about to jet off on holiday to Italy on Easter Sunday and while double checking the flight times to see if there were any delays he quickly checked his email inbox. In there was what appeared to be an email from the National Lottery informing him he had won £10.7 million on the weekend National Lottery draw.

However he dismissed the claim as a hoax or scam and deleted the email. They went off to Italy with their friends as planned. When he and his wife returned from their holiday he checked the lottery numbers himself and realised that he recognised them all, a quick check against his chosen numbers and Mr White realised that it was no scam at all and he had in fact won the entire jackpot, £10.7 million of it.
The couple from Luton now plan to leave their jobs and buy a luxury home, while Mr White sees himself in a new Mercedes or BMW. The couple have been married for 26 years and also plan to spend some of their winnings on their three grown up children. Two of them are getting married this summer and they all have student debts that their parents are now happy to pay off.
The couple intend on continuing to play the National Lottery online and are looking forward to buying a few lines for the upcoming Euromillions Lottery.
We’re fairly sure that the holiday in Italy might be the first of many too.
