Lottery Chief in Hot Water

In a story about the Ohio Lottery a Lottery chief is in Hot water for giving away lottery tickets to state troopers. Michael A. Dolan, the State chief for the Ohio Lottery has been caught out after giving free lottery tickets to a state trooper who pulled over his car back in January 2009. However since the debacle it has transpired that Dolan has also handed out free Ohio lottery tickets to other police officers although that had not come to light until now.
The Ohio Lottery then checked their records on Friday and they clearly show that Mr Dolan has given dozens of free lottery tickets to Bratenahl officers whom Dolan witnessed helping a disabled van exit the road at risk to their own lives.
Dolan also gave out 200 lottery tickets to Cleveland Police officers after fielding lottery related questions from them at a public event last year, a lottery spokeswoman said.
The complaint centres around a specific incident and the Ohio Lottery inspector was generally concerned about mailing promotional Ohio Lottery tickets to a state trooper who let him off with just a warning in January this year. The inspector has ordered Mr Dolan to halt the practice of giving out Ohio Lottery tickets completely, in any circumstances.
Mr Dolan was only employed to run the state lottery in 2007 and now this has come to light he will no doubt not be giving out lottery tickets to state troopers in Ohio or anyone else for the length of his term as chief of the Ohio Lottery.
