Lottery Cash Causes Family Feud

lotto 649A big Lottery win should complete your life and ensure you have all of the things you need to make you happy, it should bring families together, making all their dreams come true. Well for one family quite the opposite has happened as Lottery Cash causes a family feud.

The family from Windsor, Ontario, Canada won $3.5 million on the 6/49 Canada lottery earlier this year but with accusations of conspiracies about hidden winnings an Ontario judge has frozen the winnings until the messy matter has been sorted out.

The plaintiff, retired carpenter Gerald Moore, 81 claims the ticket was purchased by him, this however is contested by his daughter who claims the ticket was purchased by her. This Lottery win has caused a family feud and until the judge makes his ruling none of the parties involved will be receiving the lottery win.

The whole situation has become a classic he said/she said argument with neither parties being able to prove who bought the Lotto 6/49 ticket. The ticket was left on the nightstand and Mr Moore claims that his wife removed the ticket without notifying him and then went with her daughters from a previous marriage and telephoned the Lottery organisation confirming the win.

Mr Moore then claims he read about his step-daughters win in the press the next day and that was the first he had heard about the win, realising his lottery ticket was missing he made the connection and realised it was his own ticket she had claimed.

Now if you’re having trouble following this tawdry story it’s no wonder, it seems to be a right mess from start to finish. To complicate matters further Mr Moore and his wife are divorcing and so it’s been left to the judge to sort out who is eligible to what amount of money and who the ticket belongs to.

I’m sure none of us envy the Judges job in this messy family case and it just goes to show that no amount of money can make some people happy.
