Lottery Boost for Scottish Communities

There’s been a massive boost for Scottish communities in the form of National Lottery funding worth £6.4 million. The Lottery money is to be invested in improving the workings of Scotland’s voluntary sector to ensure it meets the needs of individuals and communities across Scotland.
This Lottery boost will be shared between fifteen organisations in total to improve and support Scotland’s voluntary groups, their staff and volunteers to provide better services for those who are in greatest need.
This massive Lottery boost for Scottish Communities brings the total invested by the Big Lottery Fund to a staggering £17.8 million, making a huge difference to people affected. The group of organisations-Dynamic Inclusive Communities- have made 25 individual awards in total to the Scottish Council for Voluntary Services. This money will have a huge impact on the services provided by voluntary organisations within the Scottish sector.
This is just another example of how the Big Lottery Fund, generated by National Lottery good causes is helping charities and communities throughout Great Britain, their investment makes a huge difference to the organisations involved and often just a few thousand pounds can make a huge difference to the organisation involved.
I’m sure the voluntary sector of Scotland will be celebrating this fantastic news, making the lives of voluntary workers and the wonderful tasks they take on for no pay much easier in the process.
It’s yet another reason to keep buying those National Lottery tickets, of course we all wish it could be us but with lottery grants going back into the community from the Big Lottery Fund it means that the lottery is benefitting every single one of us in direct or indirect ways.
