The Big Lottery fund has given a Lottery boost for Rural Scottish communities in the form of almost £3 million in National Lottery funding. There are thirteen projects in all although groups working with families account for eight of the thirteen and they are the groups that will benefit most from these lottery grants. It’s a huge boost for the area and this money will go a long way to improving the lives of these communities with this big lottery grant.
Among the biggest recipients of the lottery grants if the Fostering Links project and they will use the cash to set up a new outreach service for foster families in rural areas of Scotland. Up-2-Us, an organisation which helps families in crisis in West Dunbartonshire will receive the largest single award in the lottery grants.

The money is being awarded to help people who particularly rely on support to produce the best possible care for their children and young people in isolated Scottish communities and this money should ease the burden felt by families and foster carers who feel cut off in rural areas.
Other projects to receive National Lottery funding from the Big Lottery Fund include a grant to the Dundee International Women’s Centre who work with socially excluded woman from black and minority communities in Scotland to enable them to build self-esteem and gain new skills to use within the community.
It’s great to see that your National Lottery ticket money is going to such diverse and worth causes across the UK, making the lives better of those that need it.
Keep buying them lottery tickets, tonight is a double rollover which means that not only are you helping good causes but you might also end up becoming a multi-millionaire yourself!
