Lady wins lottery by mistake

It seems this week fate is having a hand in the lives of our lottery winners, firstly a gentleman wins £45.5 million after forgetting his lottery numbers and buying lucky dips instead and now a lady wins the lottery by mistake! Audrey White was given the wrong lottery scratchcard when she purchased a ticket with her shopping and it turned out to be a £1 million winner, now if that’s not fate playing a part I really don’t know what is.
Audrey popped into her local supermarket to buy some shopping and cash a £5 winning scratchcard when she asked the shopkeeper to trade the cash for another card and asked for a £2 one. The intention was that she could have another scratchcard and still be £3 up but the hapless shopkeeper misunderstood her and gave her a £5 UK National Lottery scratchcard by mistake.

Not wanting to make a fuss, Ms White accepted the scratchcard and popped it in her bag, upon arriving home she scratched the card to discover it was a massive £1 million, effectively the lady had won the lottery by mistake.
As mentioned it isn’t the first time this week someone has ended up with the wrong card or lottery numbers, just last weekend when the £91 million Euromillions Lottery jackpot was won, half of it went to one winner who had actually forgotten his lottery numbers, buying a lucky dip by mistake left him £45.5 million richer.
So if you’re a stickler for playing the same lottery numbers and have been for the last fifteen years then maybe it’s time to let fate play a hand, who knows what you might win.
