The National Lottery and Camelot are launching a new TV advertising campaign to coincide with the launch of the new James Bond Scratchcard which will be selling at £2 per game card. The TV campaign is due to hit our screens on 12th October and set to run until 9th November.
The new James Bond scratchcard has been launched because the latest James Bond film, Quantum of Solace is due to hit the cinema screens shortly.
The £2 game card features various characters from the film and offers players 5 chances to win £70,007 each. The James Bond scratchcard ad was created by Abbot Mead Vickers BBDO and shows two very bored and slightly irritated men working our in a gym. It doesn’t differ too much from the theme that runs through most National Lottery scratch card advertising campaigns as you then hear the sound of scratching and the background disappears to be replaced with a rooftop scene. The two men are now dressed in James Bond style get up and a chase scene then takes place.
The end of the advert for the James Bond Scratchcard sees one of the men crashing through a restaurant window before taking a seat at the bar to enjoy a Vodka Martini, shaken not stirred. The James Bond theme is then played and a voiceover is heard to say “Be more Bond, win big with the new James Bond Scratch card from the National Lottery”.
This isn’t the first time the National Lottery have released a scratchcard to coincide with the launch of a new film; earlier in the year we saw and Indiana Jones themed scratch card to go hand in hand with the new Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
