Is Friday night now Lottery night

Traditionally Saturday night has always been lottery night, it's been the night when all the major lottery draws are held including the UK National Lottery with Wednesday being midweek lottery night. However a few things have happened over the last couple of years to change that perception, the Euromillions Lottery, Mega Millions Lottery and now the new Lotto Max Canada could easily make you wonder what's going on. All of these big draws are held on a Friday so is Friday night now Lottery night when all the major draws are held?
There are two major lottery draws in the US, the Powerball Lottery - always believed to be the big draw is held on a Saturday evening - with the midweek draw on a wednesday but the Mega Millions Lottery which offers jackpots of up to $300 million is held on a Friday evening, adding to the theory that Friday night is now lottery night.
The same has happened here in the UK, it's fifteen years since the launch of the UK National Lottery but it only seems like yesterday. Since the launch, Saturday nights became lottery night in the UK with jackpot of as much as £5 million. Then came the euromillions Lottery and the UK National Lottery was put in the shade, Friday night there is £71 million up for grabs. So is Friday night now lottery night?
If you needed further prrof that Friday night is now Lottery night you only have to look to Canada, for years now the Canada Lotto 6/49 has been the big Canadian Lottery draw but a few weeks ago the Friday Super 7 draw was replaced by the Lotto Max Canada and with next Fridays draw bordering on $30 million and the Lotto 6/49 at just $3 million it seems that Friday night is now lottery night in Canada.
So are the main Saturday world lottery draws being eclipsed by the bigger Friday night jackpots? it seems they are, so maybe if you're buying lottery tickets for this weekend you should try for the Mega Millions, or maybe the £71 million Euromillions or the $30 million Lotto Max, it seems that is the way to ensure financial security.
