Irish Lottery Tenth Rollover with €8.5 million Jackpot

Irish LotteryIreland’s most famous lottery game has been making big world lottery news recently, due to the fact that the Irish Lottery rolled over for a tenth time without landing a jackpot winner. Since this is quite a rare occurrence for the Irish Lottery, ticket sales are bound to be on the rise in order to compete for the estimated €8.5 milion. Whilst no one was fortunate enough to take home the jackpot winnings of Saturday 10th September 2011, there was some consolation for the many players who managed to take a slice of the lower tier prizes.

Despite the six main balls of 1, 10, 32, 35, 39 and 45 failing to make an Irish Lotto player a jackpot millionaire, one person matched 5 main numbers as well as the bonus ball of 33 to land €25,000. The next lower level prize of €2,221 was won by 43 players, with 40,983 ticket holders each winning €5 after matching 3 main numbers.

The number 39 has proved to be quite a lucky ball, appearing 92 times since the Irish Lottery has been drawn – along with the bonus ball of 33 making 16 appearances in total. However, with the main numbers of 1 and 10 appearing both in Saturday’s and last Wednesday’s draw, it will be interesting to see whether it will be a case of third time lucky should this pair resurface for the upcoming Wednesday lottery results.

Considering the jackpot hasn’t been this huge since it reached a whopping €14,037,236 back in March earlier this year, many will be eager to get their tickets for this grand prize as soon as possible – the question is, are you feeling the luck of the Irish? If so, then get your lottery tickets now! Remember, you can check the latest Irish Lottery results here just minutes after the draw takes place.
