Irish LotteryThe Irish Lottery has sparked huge interest as well as ticket sales recently, following its increasing top tier prize failing to produce a jackpot winner. However, not a single ticket holder was fortunate enough to match the six main numbers required to claim last night’s top level winnings. As the Irish Lotto has rolled over for an eleventh consecutive time meaning an estimated jackpot of €9,500,000 to play for this Saturday, let’s see how the Irish Lottery Results for Wednesday 14th September 2011 has played out for its many ticket holders.

Wednesday’s draw produced the main balls of 8, 10, 23, 25, 37 and 38, followed by bonus ball number 9. An interesting feature was ball number 10, making its third appearance in a row – however, it has only made 69 appearances within the history of the Irish Lottery. The bonus ball was also a surprise, as we hadn’t seen it drop into the zone of single digits since the beginning of August, when the bonus ball drawn was at number 5 – making a refreshing change from the recent spate of double digit bonus balls.

There was one number that proved to be popular with its winners, and that was main ball number 38. With a record 83 appearances in the Irish Lottery to date, this number managed to change the lives – and bank accounts - of several other ticket holders. One lucky person matched 5 main numbers as well as the bonus ball to scoop €25,000, with 37 people taking home €2,075 each.

With over 40,000 Irish Lottery winners now a lot better off, Saturday’s draw will be one to watch – with many expected to try their luck at scooping the estimated Irish Lottery jackpot winnings of €9,500,000.
