Several of the customers at the pub asked Mr Smith if he was indeed the big Irish Lottery winner but he wouldn’t confirm or deny the suggestions. Mr Smith is known for his generosity but although he is known to buy a couple of pints buying the whole pub a drink would seemingly be out of character for anyone.
The Irish Lottery has been rolling over for several weeks creating this bumper jackpot and the winning ticket was a €4 Quick Pick ticket. One person scooped the entire €14 million jackpot.
No one has yet claimed the big prize at Irish Lottery HQ in Dublin but the winner has a whole 90 days to collect the prize so there is no rush yet and until then the speculation about the winner will no doubt continue.
Just who has that lucky lottery ticket?
