Idaho Mega Millions winner faces fight

Last week we brought you the lottery news that the Idaho lottery player who shared the $380 million Mega Millions jackpot had finally come forward but now the Idaho Mega Millions winner faces a fight. It’s been reported across the US that the winner, Holly Lahti is actually married, although estranged from her husband and now it looks as though he may be entitled to a share of her good fortune. It seemed a wonderful story to see a working single mother win such a huge lottery jackpot but it could be a while yet before she sees the money.
Joshua and Holly Lahti have been estranged for years, but not legally divorced and after a reporter gave Mr Lahti the heads up last week about his wife’s Mega Millions win, he now may be entitled to as much as half of the winnings.
The couple have two children and despite being legally separated for years, they have never divorced. It’s a good lesson in tying up loose ends in life, Holly Lahti must now be kicking herself for not getting divorced and this indiscretion may cost her dearly.
In other Mega Millions Lottery news, the next draw is this evening and the estimated jackpot for that draw is already up to $40 million! If you’re buying lottery tickets, make sure there isn’t someone waiting in the wings for a share, or you could find yourself at the end of a huge legal wrangle!
