Can you believe that the Simpsons is about to celebrate its 20th anniversary? It’s bcome an institution on our television sets yet in 20 years, despite playing regularly Homer has never won the lottery. All that is about to change with the 20th Anniversary episode where Homer wins the lottery and organises a big party at his Springfield home to celebrate his fantastic win!
We don’t yet have a date when the episode will be screened in the UK but it’s definitely one to look out for as one UK band are to be given a guest part in the soap. Upon the news that Homer Simpson has won the lottery he arranges a big part and for it he hires Coldplay to perform at his Springfield home.
The band have sold more than 50 million albums worldwide and won six Brit awards but now they can say they have truly made it as they join greats like the Rolling Stones, Elton John and Michael Jackson for a guest spot on the Simpsons.
Well we all know that the Simpsons are yellow but now they are to be truly ‘All Yellow’ for this very special episode.
It’s not been released which of the US Lotteries Homer has got lucky on but we’re guessing that with the money to hire Coldplay he may have scooped the Mega Millions Lottery jackpot which this Friday is worth a staggering $73 million.
