Four Players share Lotto Jackpot

Getting those all elusive six numbers should be the end to all your money worries, it’s supposed to be the ticket to instant millionairedom, however as four players share the lotto jackpot from last night’s UK National Lottery draw they are actually nowhere near millionaires. No retirement fund for these winners so is it time the UK National Lottery implemented some changes?
If the four winning players in last night’s UK National Lottery draw were thinking of instant riches and early retirement then they may well be disappointed. The jackpot was just £2.3 million and shared between four players gives them just a little over £500,000 each.

Of course half a million is not to be sniffed at, but in today’s economy it’s not really an amount you could take early retirement on or live the life of luxury which poses and interesting question into the UK National Lottery draw and how it’s run.
When the UK National Lottery first launched fifteen years ago, jackpots were regularly hitting £8 million every week, now it takes a double rollover to hit that amount with lottery sales falling and more players trying their luck at the Euromillions Lottery.
So what is the answer? Is it time the cost of UK National Lottery tickets rose, that maybe would produce bigger jackpots or are players happy to play for the smaller amounts currently on offer.
Maybe we’re way off the mark and the possibility of winning even half a million is enough to keep players playing, but with the world getting smaller and the ability to play some of the biggest world lottery draws now possible with the internet, is it now time the UK National Lottery upped the ante?
