Euromillions Winner Gives Cash Away

The last draw of the year brought one lucky unnamed Belgian €7.5 millions but the lucky Euromillions winner gave cash away to charity immediately. In fact the gentleman from Riemst, near the Dutch border gave away half of his multi-million euro prize to people in need. His first gesture was to write a cheque for 1,000 litres of furl for heating to keep warm at least one hundred poor families this winter.
It’s a very generous gesture from this Euromillions lottery winner and one that will surely come back to him ten-fold in good karma and he’s not the only lottery winner to give cash to charity, something that is becoming increasingly popular as the lottery jackpots rise.

Earlier this year we brought you news of a Chelsea pensioner who gave away £77,000 to a hospice after a National Lottery jackpot win, he kept just £777 for himself stating that he didn’t need the win due to living in the Royal Hospital in Chelsea.
A 71 year old Chinese man gave away the whole sum of a lottery jackpot in December 2006, it was 5 million yuan and starting that he only needed a radio for himself he donated the sum to an educational project and a Catholic organisation.
It just goes to show that not all of us dream of lottery wins to make us happy and clearly some people in the world are already very rich in something else. I suspect these people are few and far between though in this consumer world we live in.
Whatever you plan to do with any big lottery win, we at world lottery hope you are very lucky in the New Year.
