EuroMillions Results Tuesday 23rd August 2011

Euromillions DrawHopes for winning Tuesday’s draw were high, yet the odds to win were even higher – but in the instance of last night’s draw, unfortunately no one was lucky enough to collect the jackpot winnings. Rolling over for the sixth consecutive EuroMillions draw, yet again not a single player could match all the winning numbers – with the EuroMillions results for Tuesday 23 August reading as follows: 4, 6, 14, 42 and 50, with the Lucky Stars at 2 and 4.

Whilst no one was able to take home the complete jackpot winnings, there was some consolation for the 4 participants who were fortunate enough to be able to match 5 numbers including the 1 Star, each collecting £206,769.90. But with an unknown winner matching 5 numbers to claim €417,713, it was quite remarkable that the prize value was considerably higher in comparison to those who matched 5 numbers including a Lucky Star. However, whilst no players matched all seven numbers, for the five winners who took home the lower-tier prizes it’s certainly a great way to see the midweek blues through!

But don’t feel too bad if your numbers didn’t produce the winning combination, as the odds of winning the jackpot were just 1 in 116,531,800. The reappearance of 6 and 14 in Tuesday’s draw came as a surprise, as those numbers were drawn only a few days ago during the EuroMillions results from Saturday 20 August 2011.

With the total amount standing at an astounding €74 million (around £64 million), Friday’s jackpot has been estimated at an even greater €88 million (approximately £77 million). So why not celebrate the weekend in style with a dabble on the Euromillions Lottery for your chance to become an overnight millionaire.
