Well for weeks we’ve all been trying to work out what will happen when the EuroMillions Lottery reaches its €185 million jackpot cap. Finally the jackpot has reached that height and the lottery organisers have released a EuroMillions Lottery rule clarification. It’s all due to last night’s EuroMillions Lottery Results rolling over for the thirteenth time, finally pushing the jackpot up to the cap of €185 million (£166 million in the UK).

It’s plain to see in the Euromillions Lottery rules that there is a jackpot cap of €185 million, but no one was actually sure what happened to the jackpot once it reached that stage. Now the lottery organisers have laid out the rules and it’s just like we expect. Don’t worry, that Euromillions jackpot has to be won by someone and if you buy Euromillions tickets, it could be you!
Friday’s Euromillions Lottery jackpot is now capped at €185 million and if any more than this is created by the sale of lottery tickets, it will be added to the second tier prize fund. This means that even more players are likely to walk away with prizes, as the lower prize tiers swell!
Should the jackpot not be won on Friday night, then it will remain at €185 million, every penny in ticket sales that usually is added to the jackpot will be added to the second tier prize fund. This Euromillions Jackpot Cap system will continue until someone matches all five main numbers and the two lucky stars, so one way or another this jackpot must be won! How long it will take who knows but make sure you head back to check the results and find out if you’re the biggest ever Euromillions Lottery winner!
