Double whammy for Canada Lotto players

Rollovers, rollovers and Maxmillions it’s a double whammy for Canada Lotto players this weekend as both the main draws are at rollover stage. The Lotto Max tonight has been eluding players for weeks and now the jackpot pool is a staggering $73 million, but the Lotto 6/49 has also caught the eye of lottery players with a $7 million rollover on Saturday evening. It's a double treat this weekend, but just how many big winners will we see?
Tonight, the staggering $73 million Lotto Max Canada jackpot goes up for grabs after rolling over for several weeks. The hugely popular Friday lottery has a $50 million jackpot cap, so that means that part of the jackpot will be given away in Maxmillions draws. The main Lotto Max draw will be for a capped $50 million jackpot, but in addition to that, another 23 lottery draws will be held, one for each million the jackpot is over the $50 million. That means that lottery players in Canada have Maxmillions of chances to win tonight!
Then, tomorrow evening the Lotto 6/49 Canada draw takes place, and that one didn’t find a winner either in the midweek draw. As Wednesday’s $3.5 million midweek Lotto 6/49 jackpot rolled over, tomorrow night’s draw is now worth an estimated $7 million!
And of course, both the Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max draws played in Canada are completely tax-free so the amount offered in the lottery jackpots is the amount the winner will receive, with no taxes to pay, unlike its US counterparts.
