It’s been two weeks now since anyone matched all the winning numbers in the Euromillions draw meaning a double rollover for Euromillions. With a jackpot of an estimated £34 million lottery fever is bound to kick in as players try for the big win next weekend.
The last Euromillions jackpot was £22,430,836 for the draw held on Friday 24th October 2008. The winning numbers were 7, 15, 16, 17 and 45, the lucky stars were 6 and 9. Although no tickets matched the five main numbers and two lucky stars there were some very substantial winners. Six lucky ticketholders matched five numbers and one lucky star to take home a very nice £376,398.90 plus there were lots of smaller prize winners too.

The Euromillions is Europe’s biggest lottery draw with nine countries participating. To play you must choose five numbers from a possible fifty and two lucky star numbers from one through to nine. To win the Euromillions jackpot you need to match all five main numbers drawn plus the two lucky stars.
With regular rollovers the Euromillions Lottery reaches the £50 million mark on a regular basis and Euromillions Superdraws regularly see the jackpot as high as £100 million.
The largest ever Euromillions win and the worlds’ largest lottery win by a single player was won in July 2005 by one Dolores McNamara of Ireland, that prize equated to an estimated £77 million or €115 million for this lucky player and was created by a nine times rollover.
Draws for the Euromillions lottery are held one weekly in Paris, France every Friday night.
