A UK Lottery player scooped two wins on the UK National Lottery on 1st April but this double Lotto win was no April fools’ joke. Daniel Stretton, a retired bookbinder from Southwell scooped a huge win in both the Lotto Hotpicks and the main UK National Lottery draw on April 1st so it’s sure to be a day he remembers.
Mr Stretton pocketed a very nice £130,000 in the Lotto Hotpicks draw on April 1st, then just moments later he scooped another £967 in the main UK National Lottery draw.

The jubilant winner said he immediately recognised the numbers because they are the birthdays of some of the ladies that go to his church, he double checked the numbers and tried to remain calm but it’s more money than he’s ever had in his life and he was jumping for joy at the win.
Mr Stretton collected his money last Thursday in a cheque presentation in the Nottingham supermarket where he bought his lottery tickets and he says that the lucky ladies who inspired him to pick his winning numbers are in for a real treat when they next meet up.
After treating his lady friends to a slap up meal he says the next top item on his shopping list is a brand new Ford KA to replace his current car. Despite the massive win Mr Stretton has no plans to stop playing the lottery and already has his tickets for this weekend’s draw.
He says he feels blessed with a win but that he feels that possibly the big jackpot still has his name on it.
