Winning the lottery once would be just fantastic but imagine winning it twice! An accountant and his wife from have done just that, each claiming $350,000 in this double lottery win for Wisconsin couple. The accountant, Verlyn Adamson claims he has developed a formula for lottery number picks and he and his wife Judith both claimed two $350,000 jackpots on Monday due to them both holding a winning ticket for the state Supercash draw last Saturday, they failed to mention at the time that they also held two more of the winning tickets.
This means the couple won a staggering £1.4 million using the same numbers on four separate tickets, bought in different locations for the same draw. The couple claimed the further two jackpots on Thursday of this week.
The double lottery win couple from Wisconsin declined to comment on their good fortune and have referred all questions about the win to their lawyer.
Verlyn Adamson claims to be a big fan of maths puzzles and has claimed to have developed a formula for lottery number picks and although their wins have been small until now they always believed they would hit a big jackpot. The couple are currently looking into patent protection for their winning formula.
I’m not sure I buy this idea of a formula for finding winning numbers in a game of randomly generated numbers myself, but then it seems to have worked for this couple. I guess only time will tell if they hit another big jackpot with the same formula in which case they could find themselves famous for more than a big lottery win.
The Supercash is Wisconsin’s state lottery and was launched in 1988, it’s part of a larger range of lottery draws held by the state and is drawn daily.
