Continued Growth to $107 million for Powerball Jackpot

On Wednesday 31st August and Saturday 3rd September the Powerball draws continued to show that the match 5 and Powerball remained elusive for players meaning that the estimated jackpot for the coming Wednesday’s draw (7th September) is an estimated $107 million! Both draws saw the highest Power Play available drawn at random, a 5x jackpot amount for the lower prize tiers and one lucky player from Illinois multiplied the $200,000 prize to a million having paid for the Power Play option in Saturday’s draw.

The numbers drawn on Wednesday 31st August were 13 – 19 – 35 – 47 – 57 with Powerball 29. Four players managed to Match 5 numbers but unfortunately even though the Power Play for this draw was 5x not one of the four winners used the Power Play option.

For Saturday 3rd September the jackpot had risen to $91 million and the winning Powerball numbers drawn were 15 – 25 – 52 - 53 – 54 with Powerball 2. In this draw there were five Match 5 winners, one of which had invested an extra fee to play the Power Play and multiple their $200,000 win to a substantially higher prize of $1 million!

With the Megamillions jackpot only at $37 million currently it’s likely that all lottery players eyes are on the bigger jackpot being offered by the Powerball jackpot and it could well exceed the estimated amount of $107 million.
