College Students Scoop National Lottery Jackpot

Students are generally renowned for struggling through college and running up huge debts for themselves but not for one lucky couple as these college students scooped a National Lottery jackpot last Wednesday. Performing arts student, Hannah Muckell, 19 and 20 year old Lee Hallsworth a trainee accountant were celebrating yesterday after picking up their cheque for £1,017,166 from Lottery officials. It will be more caviar than baked beans on toast for these students from now on.

The couple are now choosing to quit their part time jobs at a call centre and supermarket to concentrate on their coursework.

It’s fantastic news for the couple and after scooping the jackpot in last Wednesday draw they can have a dream start in life. The couple who have been together for two years now plan to marry and buy a car.

The lucky couple only ever buy one National Lottery ticket, sharing the cost and sticking to the same numbers for every draw. They purchased their winning ticket in a newsagent in Hoyland, Barnsley and collected their winning cheque in Brooksby Hall, near Melton in Leicestershire.

The winning numbers for last Wednesdays draw were 5, 7, 18, 27, 31 and 33, the bonus ball was 29. The couple chose their numbers using a mixture of birthdays and from Mr Hallsworths favourite motor racing drivers.
