The clock is ticking for UK National Lottery winner

UK National LotteryWe often bring you stories of unclaimed lottery prizes from around the world. This week the clock is ticking for a UK National Lottery winner who shared a jackpot on the main UK Lotto draw just before Christmas. The winner now only has a couple of weeks to step forward and make themselves known to lottery officials, or the entire jackpot and any interest it may have accrued will be added to the UK National Lottery fund for good causes and given to charity.

There are often unclaimed lottery prizes in the UK, but it’s not often that a jackpot or shared jackpot goes to charity. At the time of the draw on 18th December, this Lotto jackpot share was worth £956,813; with interest accrued it’s quite possible that it’s now over £1 million.

The UK National Lottery winner only has until 16th June to come forward and present the ticket, which was purchased in the Oxfordshire area of the UK. The winner matched all six numbers 9, 21, 35, 38, 46 and 49 in the draw and won a share of the UK National Lottery jackpot.

If these lottery numbers sound familiar, and you think this winner may be you, then it’s time to hunt for old lottery tickets now. Is it possible this lottery ticket is sitting in the bottom of a bag of Christmas wrapping paper? Put away and long forgotten with the Christmas cards? It would be a shame to find it this December and realise it is too late to claim, so if you buy lottery tickets in the Oxfordshire area of the UK, get searching now!
