Change for the Powerball Lottery

More participating states are to signal major change for the Powerball Lottery next month as Florida and other states sign up for the multistate lottery. Florida will begin playing the game on January 4th 2009 and that’s when all the changes will be taking place. These are the biggest changes to take place in a long time in the Powerball Lottery although the lottery has been constantly changing and developing since its launch.
The idea is to improve the games overall odds which are currently quite low creating rollovers like the $50 million multi rollover up for grabs in tonight’s Powerball Lottery draw.
The plan is to add some numbers to the white balls and taking some away from the Powerball, hopefully increasing players chances of winning in the Powerball Lottery. It may signal an end to the bumper jackpots we have been seeing so far but with more states signing up to the Powerball Lottery all the time, lottery officials felt it was time for change.
Another change being made when Florida joins the Powerball Lottery is the draw location. Up until now the Powerball Lottery has been held in Iowa, but as of 4th January 2009 Powerball Lottery draws will be held in the newly joining state of Florida.
The Powerball Lottery is a multistate lottery and draws are held twice weekly, every Wednesday and Saturday evening, this of course means that tonight is draw night and the multi rollover jackpot is worth $50 million.
