Canadian Lottery draws attract interest

Things have been quiet regarding lottery news from Canada since the £11 million winning couple gave away their lottery winning to charity. However, this week the Canadian Lottery draws attract interest, as both the Lotto 6/49 Canada and Lotto Max boast jackpots totalling $30 million. No one matched all the winning numbers in Saturday’s $16 million Lotto 6/49 rollover and so tonight’s jackpot is a staggering $20 million and then on Friday evening, players have a $10 million Lotto Max Canada jackpot to look forward to.
However, it’s tonight’s Lotto 6/49 Canada draw everyone is most looking forward to. Rollover jackpots aren’t that common on the lottery and this one has rolled several times. On Saturday it was up to $16 million and although an error showed a single winner on the OLG website, no one actually matched all six winning numbers to scoop the jackpot.
In fact, despite the $16 million rollover jackpot in the Canada Lotto 6/49 draw, the biggest actual winners were four players who matched five and the bonus to collect $83,000 each.
