Canada Lotto Tickets Recalled

Lotto 649 Canada Lotto tickets are recalled this week after a computer error caused the wrong date to the printed on the tickets. Tickets from 41 locations across the Ontario province are to be recalled for draws such as the Super 7, Canada Lotto 6/49, Pick 3, Daily Keno and Pick 4 games in a highly embarrassing error for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission.

There were 92 misprinted tickets in all, a small percentage of the 560,000 tickets sold from 2pm to 5pm on Monday 10th April. Each ticket is dated for the previous week and not all are printed for the day the draw was held in an unknown error for the Lottery Commission.

Canada Lotto players who suspect they have a ticket with an error on can go to the OLG website and check on the consumer advisory to compare the control number with the one found on their tickets. If the numbers match then they need to contact the OLG to arrange a refund or replacement ticket.

There are calls for the OLG to have a complete overhaul after many errors and problems plaguing the company but the OLG premier Dalton McGuinty has played them down saying the company has taken the correct steps to fix the error.

The Canada 6/49 is a twice weekly lottery held by the OLG with draws every Wednesday and Saturday, the next draw will be held on Saturday 25th April and the jackpot is an estimated £22 million due to a multi rollover.
