Canada Lotto Max sees unprecedented draw

Lotto MaxLast Friday the Canada Lotto Max saw an unprecedented draw as the jackpot tipped the $50 million creating ten MaxMillions draws. At $60 million it’s the biggest amount ever seen since the launch of the Canada Lotto Max early last year. In the event, not so many millionaires as expected were created but that does push up the jackpot for this Friday’s draw.

The Canada Lotto Max has a maximum jackpot of $50 million, that means when the jackpot goes over that level there is an extra MaxMillions draw for every £1 million extra.

Last Friday night’s draw was a multi-rollover and that meant a $60 million jackpot. That’s a main jackpot of $50 million and ten MaxMillions draws. There was the potential for lots of winners but in the event just two millionaires were created.

The main $50 million Canada Lotto Max jackpot was matched by two players, earning them $25 million each. Of the ten MaxMillions draws just one had a winner, and those six numbers were shared by two players giving them $500,000 each.

The good thing about this of course is that this week’s lottery jackpot is automatically bumped up, the nine Maxmillions that were not won will be added to the jackpot total, giving a Canada Lotto Max jackpot this week of $19 million!

Good luck all those playing in this week’s $19 million Canada Lotto Max draw and congratulations to last weeks big winners and Maxmillions winners!
