Canada Lotto 649 Prize Still Unclaimed
A few days ago we brought you news of a potential record breaking jackpot from Canada’s Lotto 649, well the draw has now been held and the $40 million prize was one by a single ticket yet the Massive Canada 6/49 prize is still unclaimed.
Officials from the Ontario Lottery Corporation (OLC) have confirmed that the winning ticket was sold in Ontario but they cannot release any more details. Information has not yet been released as to where the winning ticket was sold or whether it’s held by one individual winner or a syndicate of lottery players.
The winning numbers for Saturdays Lotto 6/49 draw were 18, 25, 33, 40, 42 and 49. The jackpot was a little over $40 million. It’s the third largest lottery jackpot in the Canadian lottery’s history.
Large rollovers often bring out syndicates of players who pool together and only play when the Lotto 6/49 jackpot gets over a certain amount and it’s quite possible that the syndicate is aware of the win and are making decisions about the cash. It is of course equally possible that the jackpot was won by a single ticket holder who has not yet checked the results.
So if you have a Lotto 6/49 ticket from last Saturdays draw sitting in your purse or wallet, maybe it’s time you took it out and checked those winning numbers. You may just be $40 million richer and not even know it yet.
Lotto 6/49 is Canada’s largest lottery and draws are held twice weekly, every Wednesday and Saturday. Tickets for the Lotto 6/49 are $2 each and the next draw will be held on Wednesday 5th November with an estimated jackpot of $4 million.
