Mother of two Tracy Foster hasn’t had much to celebrate of late, discovering breast cancer she went on to have two operations and gruelling chemotherapy and radiotherapy. This week though she has plenty to get her smiling in the way of a big lottery win for this breast cancer mother. It signifies a great change of fortune for her as she celebrates a massive £2.5 million lottery win.
Mrs Foster won this huge amount in the National Lottery draw on 30th July 2008, matching the six main balls 4-26-28-32-44 and 46. Mrs Foster checked the lottery results online and thought she had matched five of the main balls but pretty soon she had realised that she had actually matched all six main balls making her a National Lottery Jackpot winner.
Although this is a big lottery win for the breast cancer mother she says today in interviews that she would have rather not got ill than won this huge jackpot but she’s glad her luck seems to be changing.
The lucky lady is said to be thinking of upgrading her three bed semi and replacing her old car with something more luxurious. She’s also set to take her sons on a dream holiday to New York this Christmas and by then I’m sure she will have thought of lots of new things to spend the rest on.
The National Lottery is the UK lottery, draws take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, to play you must choose six numbers, tickets are £1 each. During the draws six main balls and one bonus ball are drawn from a selected draw machine, to win the main National Lottery jackpot you must match all six main numbers, there is a runners up prize of five balls and the bonus ball plus several other winning combinations.
The next National Lottery draw will take place on Wednesday 13th August 2008. The jackpot is an estimated £2.5 million.
